There are 2 types of elision. It is the disappearance of sounds in casual and rapid speaking, in other words, elision is the missing out of a consonant or vowel or both of them.
Nature of elision
Under circumstances, sounds disappear, in other word in certain circumstances a phoneme may be realized as zero realization or be deleted. As with assimilation, elision is a typically rapid, casual speech
